THE REACTOR'S APPROACH TO PURCHASING, FASHION AND PERSONAL STYLE

As a Reactor, you have your finger on the pulse of fashion. Many pieces catch your eye, and you initially get really excited, but your enthusiasm tends to be fleeting and you end up with a “closet full of clothes (tags attached!) and nothing to wear” experience of your wardrobe.

Aesthetically, your closet doesn’t have a defined style because your vision is clouded by the “shoulds” - SHOULD BE, SHOULD DO, SHOULD HAVE - and you let consumer messaging and capitalist conditioning override your authority.

Reactors get an adrenaline rush from purchasing, which drives you to purchase with frequency - and you tend to make impulse purchases when you are bored. This reactive style and impulsive shopping has you stuck on the “purchase-and-return hamster wheel”, feeling constantly in motion and spending a lot of time and energy on a wardrobe that doesn’t feel representative of who you are at your core.

At times (or often) you may experience a ”fitting in” approach to fashion, feeling like you have to keep up with trends to quiet your imposter syndrome, and that having all of the things will finally make you “worthy” of belonging.

You might also find yourself super dependent on your credit card, over-spending on pieces in an attempt to fill a void in your perceived worthiness, hemorrhaging money in your quest to be well received.

The good news, Reactor, is that there are strategies that can quantum leap you into the SELECTIVE, SOVEREIGN, EMPOWERED version of yourself that is so ready for her debut.

TOOLS & TIPS TO SHIFT FROM REACT TO ATTRACT

PRACTICE THE PAUSE

When you feel the impulse to make a purchase, pause and check in with yourself. Go slow. Take note of your narrative. What is the story you are telling yourself when you are operating from a place of impulse?

BUILD AWARENESS

Building awareness around your triggers is one of the most effective ways to shift into selectivity. Getting curious will help you to identify when your nervous system is dysregulated, and put stop gaps in place to support yourself. PS - The most common triggers are 1) fear of unworthiness and 2) imposter syndrome.

IDENTIFY THE SHIFT

Identify the payoff that you are seeking by filling in the blanks: If I buy __________ I will feel ________________. Understanding the emotional motivator(s) for the purchase will help you highlight opportunities to heal.

CONNECT WITH INTUITION

Strengthen your fashion voice by connecting with your intuition and letting it guide your Intuitive Style and Authentic Style Expression. This will help you with discernment and selectivity.

ROOT INTO INTUITIVE STYLE

"When you stand for nothing, you fall for everything". Being firmly rooted in your Intuitive Style will give you the strength and stability to make fashion choices that feel aligned to your authentic style and lifestyle, allowing you to take what you need and leave the rest.

VISUALIZE YOUR IDEAL WARDROBE

Create a visual inspiration or mood board to determine directionality for your wardrobe. What feels expansive and energizing to you? What is most reflective of your Intuitive Style? Then refine the search to items that fit into your lifestyle and build a stable foundation to fully support you..

FOCUS ON SELECTIVITY

When trying new items, use the "Love/Don't Love" litmus test. If you truly love the piece, you can consider purchasing it. If you don't love the piece, leave it. Discernment is the name of the game, and being selective will simplify the process and allow you to build clarity around what truly lights you up. Remember, every purchase is an opportunity to show up for yourself in authenticity, and the more you do, the higher the concentration of joy in your wardrobe.

HARNESS THE POWER OF YOUR INTUITIVE STYLE
Ali Call, Founder and CEO

Wardrobe Consultant by Trade, Capricornian Strategist by Birth, Manifesting Generator by Design, and Emotional Intuitive by Nature.

I have spent the entirety of my life fascinated by the psychology of shopping both personally, as a recovered shopping addict, and professionally, as a stylist who spent the past decade mapping the emotional motivators for my clients’ purchasing patterns.

Supporting women in connecting to intuitive style, healing dysfunctional shopping habits, and purchasing with intention is a purpose-driven pursuit for me, and I am so happy you are here.

"Before taking the Intuitive Style Maven course I was a shopaholic without a clearly defined style. I would just buy what I saw all of the other moms wearing. The course helped me get really clear on what actually lights me up, and now I am more selective and aware of what feels good to me. Bonus points for saving a bunch of money, too!"

"Intuitive Style Maven completely transformed my wardrobe and how I carry myself! I had been feeling disconnected from fashion and my body for some time. I didn't identify with fashion inspiration accounts and I had no idea how to style my curves. Intuitive Style Maven empowered me to embrace my style, my figure, and my unapologetic authentic expression."
